Hi everyone! I am an aspiring author slash college student who loves to read which is probably obvious, and I love to share what I read with people, again, obvious. I think everyone has a book out there for them, its a matter of looking hard enough to find it and having a positive attitude about reading it. Anyways I hope you all find this blog helpful. Please feel free to comment and ask questions, that's why I do this! -Bookworm95

Lisa's Corner

So Lisa has just sent me these:

The Beating:
The beat of your heart
against my skin,
sings a lullaby,
To every sin,
Broken dreams
And heartache,
But it is a song
I just can't pin.
-Lisa

Never Again:
You broke my heart once,
But never again,
Will I fall for your devilish grin.
-Lisa

Thoughts Of A Heart:
A smile
A laugh
A secretive wink
All make me think
If you ever really cared.
-Lisa

The Maze Runner By James Dashner

Hey everyone! I know I just posted but I thought I should post about this book. I have to read it for by book report and so far its good. Its called the Maze runner by James Dashner. . .

"When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind. "

Hope everyone enjoys it...i am :)

The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa De La Cruz

Hey everyone! Ok so exactly five minutes ago I finished the 4th Blue Bloods book by Melissa De La Cruz called The Van Alen Legacy. It was so good I didn't put it down for like three days. This series is all about vampires and romance, and action. These are a great read it you, like me, love all those things. Here is a description:

"With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss's true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York city, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry; love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East side. Or is it? Schuyler has made her choice. She has forsaken Jack for Oliver, choosing human over vampire. But old lovers die hard. . . and even coldhearted Mimi seems to suffer from the ties that bind."

I really love this series and hope Melissa keeps writing. :)
Just a reminder to all of you, send me any book recomendations so I can add then to my list for my summer reading list.

Graceling By Kristen Cashore

Hey again! I wanted to make sure you all heard about this book! It is amazing!! I loved every second I read it! I didn't put it down for 2 days and when I was finished, I was left wanting more. It is called Graceling by Kristen Cashore. Here's a little bit about it:

"In a land where the "Graced" are used as tools and toys for the King, Katsa struggles to maintain her independance. Katsa's grace is killing. Her uncle, the king, uses Katsa as a torturer and executioner to those in his Kingdom that have wronged him. Although Katsa's grace is used at the King's command, Katsa is only a young adult yearning to discover herself. This book is a great read for anyone trying to find themselves, especially teens. In a world where being different is looked down upon, Graceling teaches everyone to be who you are and love others for their gifts."
For those of you who follow Kallie and Kassie on Twilightseriestheories.com, I beleive this is the book of the month for October, I may have that wrong though. Love Kallie and Kassie listen to them all the time:) Keep up the good work:)

Anyways check out this book! Hope you like it! Have a great week!

Wicked Lovely By Melissa Marr

Hey everyone :) Happy Columbus Day! Ok so yesterday I started a series. The first book is called Wicked Lovely. They are written by Melissa Marr. Here is a little bit about it:
"Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries. Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries. Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.
Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous. They walk hidden in the mortal world. When the rules that have kept Aislinn safe from them stop working, everything is suddenly on the line; her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything. Faery intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in Melissa Marr's stunning twenty-first century faery tale."

Look for Melissa Marr's next two books: Ink Exchange and Fragile Eternity.
