As The Sun Sets


As the sun sets,
I stand in the presence of the water,
It dances all around me,
Dancing, Dancing
Clear and blue,
Soft and cold,
But yet,
Ruff from the salt,
It makes interesting patterns in the sand.

As the sun sets,
Dolphins leap into the sky,
Making ripples in the clear, blue, atmosphere
Seagulls fly,
Through the salty breeze.

As the sun sets,
A flash of bright color,
Lights the heavens.

As the tide rolls in,
The stars come out of hiding,
Like little crystals,
They sparkle and shine.
Priceless and breathtaking.

I look out at the horizon,
As the last speck of sun goes down.
I say goodnight
Beautiful Ocean,
Until tomorrow,
Peaks through the horizon,
Once again.

Tomorrow

I stand at the shoreline,
Watching as the last bit of light
Dips below the horizon
I say goodbye to today,
And hello
To another new tomorrow.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the tother, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and
I - I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference.


The Computer Mouse

A computer mouse,
Though small and fragile,
Is like a guide,
Taking you through the jungle.
It helps you to pick a path,
And carry you through,
Until you meet another,
And go down yonder.
It will solve most of your problems,
With one click of a button,
Never giving up on its voyage.
Determined to help make your search even simpler,
This little creature will always be waiting to aid you.

If you wake up in the morning,
And the haunting is so great,
You don’t want to get out of bed,
And face a world of hate,
If everything in life goes wrong,
And nothing you do seems right,
You just try a little harder,
And soon you’ll see the light.
For every person who has ever put you down,
And filled your life with pain,
You must strive to achieve greatness,
And show them you can win.
For every disappointment,
For the times you are let down,
There will be a better moment,
And your life will be turned around.
Because everyone feels heartache,
And everyone feels pain.
Because only those who have true courage,
Can get up and try again.

Fate

I see my fate in front of me
The result of my choices
That I took upon myself
As the anger builds inside of me
I see what could have been
If only I had listened
When you tried to warn me
Of the path I was taking
The sky darkens
People disappear
Depression overwhelms me
There’s nothing I can do now
It’s already too late
A wave of hopelessness
Crashes against my shores
I see my fate in front of me
Someone please save me.

This little silver rectangle,
With buttons,
Pause and play,
Is like a doorway,
Or an entrance,
To a world far away.
With thousands of songs to choose from,
The decision is up to me.
With many different adventures inside,
Waiting to be freed.
I listen to them one by one.
Until I finally drift to sleep.
And when I wake tomorrow,
I’ll start all over again.

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say ice,
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate,
To say that for destruction ice,
Is also great.
And would suffice.

Sea Breeze

The morning sea breeze,
Cold and moist in my hair,
Carrying the sound of the waves,
To my lonely ears,
The rushing sound of the water
Is calming to my ears
As I put my toes into the sand
And look out at the sun-setting horizon
Pink and orange explode into the sky
Seagulls fly
Onto the unfinished canvas of life.



Sing Out Loud

Sing loud
Sing proud
Sing in
Sing out
Sing weak
Sing strong
For rich and poor
Sing for what you want
Sing for what you can’t have
Sing for what you believe
For you and for me
Sing through pain
Sing through joy
Sing in your mind
Sing in your heart
And sing in your soul
Sing because you want to
Sing because you can
Sing in the beginning
And in the end
Sing for life and for death
Sing in love
Sing in hate
Because music frees the spirit
Not just the soul
So just sing

Fly Ball

Smack!
Fly ball in the outfield
Batter heads toward first base
Tension in the crowd
They know this is it
Make it or break it
Bases are loaded
They sit patiently
Waiting
Anticipation
For the final call of the ref.
Swoosh!
He flies for his life
Thwack, thwack, thwack
The sound of cleats
Hitting the white chalk line
All the way home
The balls’ thrown in
Safe!
The ref. yells
The crowd roars
Cheering
It’s all over.

Revolution

You started a revolution.
You created an evolution
A rebirth of a stronger soul and an iron heart
Although my body aches of defeat and heart is weak
I'll just keep pushing on like a solider
Every day is a brand new war
A war to keep the rest of me.

It's hard to believe  
It's hard to conceive  
That I could love somebody as much as I love you now
You push me down as I hold you high
Sometimes the pain is too much to bear  
But but there's no way in hell I'm letting you know

There's nowhere for me to run
To be by myself
To dwell in my thoughts
For me to hide away

There's always someone there
Looking everywhere
Trying to figure out
How to shut me down
Then walking away
