Movies To Look For!

Hey guys! Happy New Year! I went to see the New Year's Eve movie yesterday and I saw a preview that really interested me. The Nicholas Sparks Novel "The Lucky One" Is going to come to theaters this spring! Staring Zac Effron and Taylor Schilling. I am going to read this book as soon as possible and I can't wait to see the movie. The trailer looks amazing!

My genre lately has been these really strange dystopians. Here's another one that looks really interesting.

Listen up Dystopian readers! I found this book a while ago but I've been so busy I haven't had time to post about it. It is currently on my Christmas list:)

Breaking Dawn: Yay or Nay Beware Spoilers!

Hey Guys! Yesterday I went and saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 with my best friend and I have to say over all, I liked it. They did a descent job. However there were a few things that I didn't like, along with some things that I thought were so good!

Bad:
-I felt like the movie was on fast forward. One minute they are getting married, then they are on a plane home. . I feel like they skipped a lot, like:
-The dream Bella has about the baby. They changed it to an insecure dream about Edward. She has never been insecure about Edward and her being together. maybe about whether or not she deserved him, but never if they were meant to be. at least I don't think so.
-I didn't like how they made Edward angry with Bella about her being pregnant. He was always supportive and never left her side. I did NOT like how they portrayed him. Also, He yelled at her! Not cool!!
-I didn't like how they skipped the first part of the book. Like the flashbacks and the car. Or the meadow, or her seeing the dress for the first time.
-I'm not really sure how I feel about Jacob's imprinting scene. I like how he explained what was happening, but I don't know, maybe they could have showed it better? I don't really know how they would, but it was ok.

Good:
-there were a lot of funny parts. I loved, loved, loved, loved the wedding, but I wish it were longer! I also loved the toasting. That was soooo funny! and I loved how Alice was yelling at everyone while they were setting up.
-I thought Bella's wedding dress, and shoes, and make up and hair, all of that was perfect! That's how I pictured her.
-I loved seeing Stephenie Meyer in the wedding. If I was her, I would want to see the most important and special part of my story coming to life. I would be like she was writing it all over again. I'm sure she pictured herself there while she sat at home in a world of her creation. And if she ever reads this, I want to say thank you to her. she has inspired thousands of people including me, and made a story we all love!
-I loved the music. I'm listening to the soundtrack as I type this and it makes me feel. . .I don't know, but the music is perfect with the movie and just as a collection of music. Summit did a great job!
-I liked how they showed the venom spreading through Bella. That was really creative and I think helped people who had never read the books realize what was happening.
-I think the actors did a way better job in this movie. Its about time!
-I loved how they made Bella look when she was pregnant. I loved that scene where Rose is helping her in the bathroom and you see Edward just broken looking at her broken body. The look on his face and on Bella's face...it was a great scene. My heart hurt for both of them.
-finally, I loved loved the scene where Edward hears the baby for the first time. !! So sweet!

Right now that's really all I can think of. I really did like it! If I was to critical, I'm not trying to be. I can't wait till the last part and I'm going to be sad when it's over. I can't wait to see what Stephenie is going to do after this. Hopefully we can expect something new from her. If you haven't seen it yet, GO SEE IT! Leave your comments below!

Hey everyone! I hope your holidays have been great! I've been doing a lot of thinking, about what I have to be thankful for, and I realized I have a lot. I just wanted to thank all of you that read this blog. I was looking at my stats page out of curiosity just now and I am amazed how much it has grown over the last few years. I honestly didn't think anyone ever visited this site, and I was just putting myself out there for the world to see, just taking up space in the cyber world. Just posting useless things that no one really cares about. But obviously some one cares. I realize now that I need to post things more often. I need to be as dedicated as I sometimes like to think I am. Does that make sense? Anyways, Thank you, to all those who support this page. It means more than you can know.

The Music Box

Hey guys! I hope everyone's thanksgivings were great! I was working on the High School Romance page today and as I was writing, I Incorporated a song into the story. I realize it is in the Breaking Dawn movie, but I thought it fit well with my story too. If you read the Romance page it is in chapters 14 and 15. If it is annoying too you . . .sorry lol it does play twice because I want it to repeat while you read. I did that while I typed and I feel like it just helps the story. So Enjoy!

The next book my book group is reading is called Matched by Allie Condie. Its another dystopian novel and I have heard good things. This is a little about it.

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher

I just finished this book last night and it was not what I expected. Its about a two worlds. One is called the Outside and the other is the Prison or Incarceron. Claudia, a the warden of the prison's, daughter, is completely horrified because she has to marry the queen's horrible son. She wants to find a way out. Her original betrothed was said to have died in an accident. When she finds out that he may be alive, she does everything she can to find out more. But she thinks he's inside the prison. I have heard rumors that this book will be a movie and Claudia will be Emma Watson from Harry Potter and Finn, or Giles will be Taylor Launtner from Twilight. These seem like great picks to me. This book wasn't one of my favorites but it was still interesting to read. Check it out! And if you are interested in more, read the sequel, Sapphique.

Breaking Dawn Count-Down

Hey everyone! Breaking Dawn is just around the corner. As of today there is only 17 days until the premiere. Fans, make sure you catch the WHOLE cast on the Ellen DeGeneres show next week. Has everyone seen the trailer? I kind of feel like the new PG-13 should be the R. The Trailer has some graphic scenes. . .but then so does the book. I'm really excited for the movie and plan on seeing it several times. I will post a review after!

#11 On Summer Reading List

Hey everyone! Yesterday I finished that Nightshade book by Andrea Cremer. It was number 11 on the list. I didn't realize when I started it that it was a series. . . so beware that this book does leave off with a cliff hanger. The good news is that the first two books are out. The conclusion is to hit shelves in January. The second book is called Wolfsbane.

So this book started out with some confusing concepts. But as you continue to read, things begin to unfold and you start to understand that world that Calla has been born into. There is a pretty intense love triangle. I personally am Team Ren, the werewolf she has been betrothed too. Calla has to make a decision between her pack, and her destined future with Ren, and a life of freedom with Shay, a human she should have never met, so saved. This book is pretty relaxed. There are some intense parts but its a pretty easy read. I would recommend it. The last book is set to come out in January.

Reading List # 9 Divergent by Veronica Roth

Hey readers! Just last night I finished the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. I have to say those of you that love the Hunger Games, you will LOVE this book. I cannot believe how amazing this is. This book is about a future America. Instead of districts, like the hunger games, the people are split into Factions. They are split based on their personality. When a child is 16, they take a test which tells them which Faction they would fit best with. But when a young girl fits into none, She has to lie to protect herself from those who would kill her. She meets a young man roughly 2 years older than herself. She learns many things she never knew about herself, her family, her new friends, and people in general. This is on of my favorite books. I know all of you will enjoy it. Look for the second book in May. Its called Insurgent.

Right now I am reading a book called Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. It is number 11 on the list. Its pretty good so far. Those of you that like mystical creatures books, especially werewolves, you would probably like this.
