Sad to Report

Dear Loyal Readers:

For those of you who are still reading this, thank you. Unfortunately I am sad to report that I am a lot busier that I thought I'd be this summer. With that I am sad to say that I have only read two of the twenty or so books on my summer reading list. I am very sorry to disappoint those of you who were taking the challenge with me. I will hope to continue reading these books when my schedule will allow it. Again I am sorry for disappointing you.

Dark Mirror by M. J. Putney

This book is on the reading list.
"This historical romance/fantasy novel toggles back and forth in time between the early 1800s and the beginning of WWII. It is set in the town of Lackland, home of a boarding school for wayward sons and daughters of the British aristocracy. These students are not guilty of moral turpitude, but of having the ability to practice magic, which has been outlawed. Lady Victoria has just arrived at Lackland and her only hope of returning to society rests upon whether she can learn to repress her powers forever. But Tory finds that some of the teachers and students are members of a secret magic society that meets in the tunnels under the school to practice their craft. Tory joins the group and discovers a silver mirror that whisks her to 1940. There she finds that her magic is desperately needed, as the success of the evacuation of the Allies from Dunkirk depends upon the weather being just right. Except for a few plot holes here and there, this novel is satisfyingly constructed. The romance and fantasy are nicely balanced, without one overpowering the other. Unlike many adult novels in this genre, the romance is limited to passionate embraces, which makes it appropriate for younger teen readers. The characters and plot are fairly stock but comfortably predictable, with just enough surprise to keep the reader interested. All in all, this is a solid debut YA novel for Putney and it will appeal to teen fans of both romance and fantasy."

While I was browsing B&N I found this book and it look great!

Divergent by Veronica Roth

One of my good book group friends is reading this book right now and she said its amazing. She reccomends it to everyone!

Update

Hey everyone! I have finished revising and editing A High School Romance, so it is safe to reread. I will be continuing Sam and Grace's journey over my time off this summer.

Also this summer, I have challenged myself to read as many new books as I can starting June 1st. So keep a look out for my official summer reading list coming soon! I challenge you all to read along with me. I will be posting weekly. Keeping you updated on where I am and what book I am reading. I will go down the list so if you get lost, you can always check.

Just To Say Hey!!

Hey guys!

First Happy Mother's day!

Second, I have been doing a lot of updating on the site. I have rewritten a LOT on a High School Romance. So make sure you check back up and re-read from the beginning. I have added a lot more details on some parts. PLEASE comment; If you have a question, or just because. ANY feedback helps me a lot!

Third, I have completely re-done the character picture page and the next couple of polls will be based on them. PLEASE vote so I know how I did with the pics!

and lastly, I will have more books up ASAP. I found a couple of other great ones!

Updates!

Hey Guys! Happy spring break and happy Easter! I recently finished reading the new installment to the Mortal Instruments series and I have to say it was amazing! The last book left so many things open and the author took the series in a whole new direction. There were many scenes that were action packed and there are new romances forming. And of course the book has left off in a major cliff hanger! There have been many speculations as to what is to come. Cross your fingers that the next books release date, which is set for May 2012, is pushed up.

Also being released this year is Clockwork Prince, the second book in the Mortal Instruments spin off series. The first one is amazing as well and a few of the characters are referenced in the City of Fallen Angels so I highly recommend reading it. (September 2011)

This past week the Twilight Saga Official Guide was released. It is about the size of Breaking Dawn but is totally STUFFED with information, pics, back stories, and more.

Alright Twilight Fans here is another series you will love! As a Twilight fan myself I absolutely loved these books! They are kind of similar but they have their differences too.

The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher

This is my current Book Group read. Its called The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher. Its a really good book but to me a little confusing. Its all about the control the governments has on the future America.

My book group read this and they said it was really good. I didn't read it due to sexual content.

So this is an amazing book! Its about aliens! I love it! You all have to read it!
