Hey everyone! I was just scrolling through and reading some of the conversations and  comments that you have posted here. I realized that everything I wanted out of this site has already been fulfilled. I was amazed that so many people had responses to the things I recommended and shared. It was great to see feedback from those of you who liked or hated certain books. Its great to keep conversations going and talk about our favorite series and authors. Author To Watch: Kallie Ross

I'm sure I've mentioned her before, but I've been listening to a podcast and following along online with Twilight Series Theories for like six or seven years now and I love the two Texan sisters who run it. I've written in several times and was mentioned on the show once, although I don't remember the episode. I'm excited to announce that Kallie Ross is going to publish her first novel DESCENT: A LOST TRIBE. I'm not sure of the publication date, but hopefully I'll know soon enough.

Author To Watch: Courtney Alameda

So I've mentioned before that I have an amazing friend who has recently been picked up by Feiwel & Friends/Macmillan. Her debute novel "SHUTTER" is set for publication for fall 2014. I have read bits and pieces now and again and it is amazing! I cannot wait to read the whole thing.

 

"Courtney Alameda’s career has been spent in and around books. She holds a B.A. in English Literature with an Emphasis in Creative Writing from Brigham Young University, spent seven non-consecutive years working for Barnes & Noble, and currently works as an Adult & Teen Services librarian at the Provo City Library. Her forthcoming novel, SHUTTER (Fall 2014, Feiwel & Friends/Macmillan), is a tale spawned in part by Bram Stoker’s DRACULA, in part by her experiences both paranormal and not-so-paranormal, and features a cast of monsters inspired by everything from Japanese folklore to survival horror video games.

Publication is set for fall 2014. John M. Cusick of Greenhouse Literary brokered the deal, his first since joining Greenhouse in January."

Hocus Pocus?

DIVERGENT MOVIE

March 21, 2014. That is the date that should be on everyone's calendar!! DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth is going to premier in theaters! That's right, DIVERGENT the movie. Starring Shailene Woodley as Tris. Veronica has said she visited the set and the scenes she was able to watch were exactly what went on in her mind. That makes me soo excited! I can't wait to see this movie!

I cannot tell you how excited I am about the release of this book. Allegiant was released today and I think it may just be moved to the top of my list. As you know, Veronica Roth is one of my all time favorite authors! I completely fell in love with this story and her characters. She is one of the reasons I love to write so much. This is sadly the conclusion to her DIVERGENT series, but hopefully she is already working up something new for us!

Cassandra Clare Has More?

Listen up Cassie fans! Cassandra Clare recently announced she will be publishing a brand new series! This new series is set for publication in 2015 after the conclusion of the Mortal Instruments which is sent for May of 2014. "The Dark Artifices" is the title.

I'm Almost done. . .

I know back in June I reported that I was going to give the UGLIES by Scott Westerfeld another shot, and I did. I finally finished UGLIES and moved on to PRETTIES. I recently stared SPECIALS which I try to read in between classed as much as possible. Its about the only time I can actually read. Anyways, I just wanted to keep you in the loop.

The Fall of Five by Pitticus Lore

The Fall of Five by Pitticus Lore was released several months ago. I'm sad to report that I have yet to read The Rise of Nine, or ever purchase The Fall of Five. However knowing Pitticus Lore, I'm 100% positive that these new additions to the series will be fantastic.

Been A While

Hey everyone! I can't believe I haven't posted in close to four months! So much has been happening for me. First, I graduated high school, like I'm sure most of you did as well. I started college, and I'm sure a lot of you know your first year in college is stressful and busy. So, I've been juggling school, family, work, and church commitments. I have not read anything, or written anything and that is seriously taking its toll on me. I also have been neglecting to post here, which I'm sure is inconvenient for most of you. However I would like to thank the large group of you who continue to visit this page regardless of how often I post. I am going to try to post some things right now to catch everyone up. Thanks!
